dohc zc intake manifold.

hey whats up everyone this is my first post in here, anyway i was wondering does anybody in here know if there is an aftermarket company that makes an intke manifold for the dual cam zc? or if the skunk2 or edelbrock single cam manifolds will fit? someone told me that even a b series one might fit? also if i used an ls throttlebody will it help anything? thanks for any response.

Re: dohc zc intake manifold. (ef3Hatch)

hhhmm well any manifold you listed would fit but you need them port matched. I would definetly try e-mailing skunk2 or anyone else and ask. I am all about buying ZC spec stuff. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

no intake mani will bolt up look at above pic (zc gasket on y8 manifold)

the only option is to buy and adapter plate that adapts d-series to zc

Re: dohc zc intake manifold. (ef3Hatch)

i have heard of people useing a ls throttle body but in my opinon the time it take u too make it work u be better off buying aftermarket one for single cam.or go the dh-racing.com they have lots for the dohc zc

skr33t_rac3r 09-17-2005 08:23 AM

the ls thorttle body just bolts up and goes
makes sure it has all the same stuff on it though

u can find them for like 40 bux instead of spening 160 on after market one

Thats the SOHC gasket on the DOHC ZC intake manifold.

Remember guys the SOHC ZC is the same as all other SOHC D's.

glad someone cleared that up.. i knew something was fishy wheni recognized the "zc gasket" as the normal sohc bolt pattern

Re: (Kryogen)

yeah i think ur right about the sohc gaket being on the zc i just didnt remeber which one was which

does that help?

skr33t_rac3r 09-18-2005 01:13 PM

crap i just reead that the b series tbs will only work on obd1 manis
i guess you could try maxbore

Kryogen 09-18-2005 06:06 PM

the PG7 intakes on DOHC ZC's goes like this.
86-87 Integra :: Wont work, nor will it bolt directly up.
88-89 Integra :: Will work, but takes a crappy DUAL butterfly throttlebody.

No B-series intake manifolds will work either.

and Gen1 B16's and 90-91 B18's TB's will work as long as its Pre-OBD.
The TB mounting changed in 92, and is the same way today on B & D's....except the D17.

The post is from 15 years ago from a member who hasn't been active in the last 2 years. Doubtful.
