Re: spoon civic specs (fordi64x4)
also it has a turbo on it, all we know is its out of a newer civic . how hard would it be to bolt up like would it just mount up the same?
|
A grand?, if it was a real spoon engine it would have a resale value of at least 2 grand i would think. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emdgust.gif

Re: (Contender25)

Re: spoon civic specs (fordi64x4)
shutup eh haha is it good or what? specs? anythign helpful?
|
Re: spoon civic specs (fordi64x4)
They offer both a 2.0L which was rare and a 1.8L, the ecu has a few differnces from the regular honda ecu's what they are I couldn't tell you. The engine wasn't desinged to be turbocharged though so im gonna call BS on it.
The 2.0L came with 250hp and the 1.8L came with 215hp if i remember correctly. Lastly no one in their right mind would sell that engine for $1000can. |
Re: spoon civic specs (channy)
Another fucking GHEY f&f thread???? WTF!! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif
|
Think of it this way, it's not a "Spoon Motor" and it's probably not a grand if it's running.

Re: spoon civic specs (Ace$nyper)
what are you talking about? f&f thread? this is a spoon engine, and it is running ok accept that fact, and tell em some things, will it bolt in place of a 1.6 si motor? and did both the 2.0 and the 1.8 come turboed? or are they able to have turbos?
|
Re: spoon civic specs (fordi64x4)
It is most likely not a spoon engine because a spoon engine costs around 6000 new but that is beside the point. The engine will not bolt into an 88-91 civic/crx chassis without the aid of a mount kit ie HASport,HCP, etc. They are high compression engines that were designed to be N/A motors and not turbocharged.

How do you know its a spoon motor, if you don't even know if the spoon motors come turbocharged? Do a search. And read. Spend atleast a month researching. Then post again in this thread if you really feel you need to.. |

Re: spoon civic specs (HatchMo)
man honestly fuck you guys, it is a turboed fucking spoon engine you guys are all fucking retards thank you for those who have aided in giving some information but all you other pricks can fuck right off all i did was join this sight to ask some info and i get flamed by a bunch of fucking flamers themselves seriously all i want to know is the answers to the questions ive asked if you have seomthign else to say keep it to yourselves, here are some facts for you guys,
- it is a honda spoon engine - it is turboed -it is indeed 1000 dollars canadian thats pretty much it if you dont understand what i just wrote then dont bother posting especially things like " let me pee in your butt ", like what the fuck is that gay shit anyone who wants to answer my questions go ahead id appreciate it and if your gonna post useless shit do it somehwere else |
If it is indeed an engine built by Spoon Sports, it wiil either be 1.6 liters or 1.8 liters, and if it is turbo'd then it will probably not last too long considering that it is a high compression motor. It would theoreticly need to be tuned heavily using Hondata, or a similar aftermarket tuning software. They generally use a yellow powdercoated valve cover, but there really isn't anyway I can think of to positively Identify it without a reciept, or a build sheet from Spoon Sports. that being said it is very doubtful that it is a spoon motor. But if it is a b-series motor, that would be a decent find. If the car was impounded for street racing, I would recomend a rebuild, with lower compression if you would still like to go the turbo route. But I will say this I do not believe you. Sorry.
Ps. If you would have researched anything at all on your own, all of your questions would be answered, and nobody would have pissed you off. FYI |
Re: (efcalvin)
