Re: N/A B18C1 Build (JH4DC4-2GSR)

UPDATE: 5/29/05

Well i have assembled the bottom end ,everything besides the pistons and rods, because i still waiting on my rod bearings to arrive from AZ. DHL takes 8 days to get them here, my AEBS Head Studs From CA and the rod bolts pressed in and rods resized along with wrist pins pressed in.

The build has went flawlessly so far and the crank turns beautifully. I installed new front and rear main seals also. I am using a craftsman toqrue wrench, the twist type, and tuesay after work i am bringing home my snap on dial type so i know for a fact that i am getting the correct torque.

Here are some pics of the install:

Re: N/A B18C1 Build (JH4DC4-2GSR)

Well i got back from the shop and he said that he can have the rods resized, rod bolts pressed in, wrist pins pressed in and ready by wednesday, that works out well because my rod bearings should be here by the third. that is the only thing holding me from completing the rotating assy.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif on the build!

Re: (JH4DC4-2GSR)

Heres some pics of the pistons and rods resized with arp bolts...The caps have been put on ,and torqued to 40ft lbs 3 times, ( so the resizing can be done to the most accuracy)also the last time i put them on, i only need to torque it once and then check clearances.. he said he will lossen up the caps , as seen, because he said with arp bolts the caps are a pain to get off.. Come on Friday! Get paid and i get bearings!! woo hoot!!

Update: 6/04/05

I have the rotating assy. completed. Went very well, checked clearances and all.. I just got the computer back today and figured i post some pics...I also found out that the suit bags or w.e you would like to call them from jc penny's that i used for my grad suit comes in very helpful while laying out parts and keeping the area clean..

I also dropped the head off today.. So all he is waiting on is me dropping off parts.. I fully disassembled the head last night to cut down on labor costs...

But on with the pics.. I have alot so i will post some at a time..
