at checker or auto zone they have engrish versions of chilton's manuals, you might want to pick one up https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Re: HONDA ACCORD COILOVER INSTALLATION (adio)

Lift the car
Pull the wheels
Unbolt the struts (front and rear) from the towers
Unbolt them from the control arm
Pull them out
Remove top of strut
Remove spring
Throw on Coilover's
Reverse....

It's not a complicated task https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emhammer.gif

Re: HONDA ACCORD COILOVER INSTALLATION (TxTuner)

You just cant remove the spring like that. You need a compressor obv.

Re: HONDA ACCORD COILOVER INSTALLATION (TxTuner)

i didnt use a spring compressor, i layed the assembly down between two tires and put a towel over the set up while i unbolted it, unless the accords have preloaded springs

Re: HONDA ACCORD COILOVER INSTALLATION (ProjectDarkBlack)

They're preloaded. Use a spring compressor. You can borrow the spring compressors from Autozone for a fully-refundable deposit or about $50.

Re: HONDA ACCORD COILOVER INSTALLATION (ProjectDarkBlack)

when i installed springs for my car i used spring compressors. but then for my friends car we thought it was so time consuming that we just put it between the tires. o and wen i first installed my springs i didnt know that you needed one of those octogonal tools to place into the top of the strut to remove the nut. so if youre having problems removing the nut at the top, its because u need to use that tool.

That "octogonal tool" is called an Allen key https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Re: HONDA ACCORD COILOVER INSTALLATION (mrxhe1neken)

no need for spring compressor, i have done many coilover installs the whole fun of the day is when you get to use an impact gun to take of the top nut and hold the sttrut with your foot and tell your friends to watch out when the spring goes flyin https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif
