why does my car run too rich?

here's a vid of my car:

http://www.sporkperformance.co...e.AVI

notice all the black smoke out the exhaust. why does my car run rich most of the time? last night seemed like more than usual to me, but that is the really the first time i got to see it from behind since i'm always the run driving my car.

i have a kenji chipped P28 with the all motor program chip. could the chip be the reason why?

my friend said he sees the smoke come out when i hit vtec.

fuel pressure is set at 40psi.

my friend has the same ecu in his hatch with itr motor and his car doesn't throw that black smoke out when he hits vtec.

Turn your pressure back to stock 38 psi and what is your ignition timing set at. Most basic chips will run rich on top end on simple set ups. What are your running?

What is the motor setup... include exact specs etc... Black smoke is normal if you are running rich & you don't have a cat :-)

Pull your plugs and check them, they are probably black.... hence a rich condition.

If you are running stock injectors, 48-52 psi at Wide Open Throttle is what your FPR should be at.
