The clearance was great.
Only took about 20 mins to install !
Only had to trim a LITTLE part of the stock fan but otherwise
there was no issues with installation.
I tuned it fully stock with stock headers and then with the RMF Narrow STYLE B Series Header. Below are pictures of the dyno graphs from both tunes.
The reason for the dips in the graph are due to the stock exhaust holding it back.
Thanks to CLM Motorsports for letting us his dyno at last minute!

Re: **** RMF Narrow B Series Header BLOWOUT SALE****
that was just driving home from getting it put on.. I drove the car today and it was ALL pruple, looked badass. but the car is running lean now that I installed it so, I guess that where the purple comes in...
just some other shots
the first one shows the ground clearence, it sits JUST a tad bit lower than my Comptech which has been on my car for 10 YEARS! and looks flawless. no dents NOTHING..
my car is lowered on apexi n1 99spec coilovers.

Lil review....
Ordered the header. Toke bout 4-5 days to come in. Mike is an awsome person to deal with. The motor it is on is a b16a2 with ctr pistons and is still in break in. Will be posting dyno numbers as soon as the motor is fully broken in. The header came in two pieces. When installing the header the rear megaphone was to small to fit on the header collector. Got out my heat gun and heated the collector, 30 seconds later it was on. The o2 sensor is on the side of the header megaphone. Kinda a PITA position but it works fine. Than came the installation of the fan. Trimed than trimed than trimed than trimed till i got to this.
Decided to ditch the stock fan and go with a slim unit. Over all very glad with the header results. The header has great low end and extremly astonishing high end performance. We will see what the dyno says next month.

Re: **** RMF Narrow B Series Header BLOWOUT SALE****
mpdsEG: You might want to turn the 2nd half of the header around the other way or else your o2 sensor is going to be really close to your tranny, if it doesn't hit it.
Couple pics of mine showing a/c line clearance. it's VERY tight. Stupid EF's, lol
And one showing the clearance to my slim fan. I could just move the fan over more but I am so sick of messing with these fans.

Re: **** RMF Narrow B Series Header BLOWOUT SALE****
I have now won 6 races on this header and 3 more practice days on it
one more off track excursion also -- but the header has held up great
clearance is great even with the full size radiator, and as you can see in the picture , i win the dirty header award. I never clean it, just put it on oily , dirty etc,,, its a shame because it cleans up nicely and easily.

It worked perfect however you need to cut your fan for it to fit unless you get a slim fan. The craftsmanship is beautiful and a great deal overall. Great service and I recommend him . Excuse my dirty engine bay FYI: I did notice a huge difference especially mid range power =D
Now the header is mounted on my ITR!
Great quality header!!
Works great with fullsize radiator!
No Problem with the clutchbleeder
No Problem with the ground clearance
It will not fin on ITR with euro catalyst, but no problem for me atleast. I am using T1R testpipe.
Some modifications needed to the bracket against the exhaust ports, but nothing major.
You will need to lengthen the wires for the lambda with about 8 inches.
The comlete installation took about 2,5 hours.
I will be running the car on the dyno in the beginning of july, and will post dynosheets, Hope to test both stock and narrow on the dyno.
Bump up for a great seller selling a great header!!
Thank you Mike and not to forget Peter!

DC JDM 4-1 versus KiddRACING
I forget the exact user name but the SCCA guy Justuag or whatever, he gained 12whp over his DC on his B16, dyno is in here.
Certified Racing graph on the first post is 11whp.
A DC 2.25 4-1 is no better than a STOCK header.
heres a pic for reference in my crx with full radiator and oem traction bar/cross member. took me about 15 minutes and a big effing hammer to make clearance.
as far as the fan goes i purchases a slim fan and ran it under hood latch area in front of the radiator. PERFECT fit.
as far as the fan goes i purchases a slim fan and ran it under hood latch area in front of the radiator. PERFECT fit.
here's my dynocomparison with excactly two months time in between.
temps are 1 degree apart
humidity is within 4%
air density within 2%
barometric pressure within 1%
power curve in vtec is practicly the same give or take 2-3whp in some area's for both headers. on the low cam power is low because i did not touch the timing in that area from the last tune (the total curve dopped like that with bolting on the header, power on the 'big' lobe came up with tuning for MBT)
i did not care to tune out that area for the reason listed below
vtec is set at 5500rpm (wich is to high i know, ideally probably at 4500-5000rpm), but i don't 'need' power that low. i never come below 5700-6000rpm when i 'need' power
all in all, conditions where slightly different and i had a nitrousnozzle protruding in the intake arm (not sure how much flow that took away, can't be a whole lot)
but the software was quite capable of correcting the output (SAE/DIN) to what it should be as my mate duplicated his power curve from also the same two months ago under the same conditions
draw your own conclusions
edit:
the setup is the following
- stock JDM 96' spec B18CR
- 2.5" SS magnaflow/kteller exhaustcombo (stickwelded)
- generic WAI arm with apexi-filter
- precision 680cc's (for fueling dry nitrous)
- inline bosch 044 (only ON when nitrous is active)
dotted line is with crappy stock cast 4-2-1 2.25" exhaust mani tuned for max power
solid line is with vteckidd RMF copy 4-1 2.0-2.5" exhaust mani tuned for max power (low cam is still old tune with some afr corrections, probably would've been the same with some ignition tuning)
i'd love to do a same day on dyno comparison, but dyno time is expensive...
for that money i just could've bought a better header

Re: **** RMF Narrow B Series Header BLOWOUT SALE****
I just won the H2 national championship using this header. It has had over 10 races, lots of abuse and held up perfectly.
Making power was critical at Miller Motorsports park . It has an elevation of 4400 feet and with the high temperatures, the density altitude was close to 8000 feet. My car ran the fastest times of the week in H2 . Power delivery was a huge part of that. Additionally the units light weight helped keep weight off the front end for superior handling!
Thanks again Kidd

Well, received my header last night and installed it today.
Overall nice construction and materials, very nicely worked, and i thing is a very nice piece for the price.
Install was pretty easy, only has to trim the radiator fan plastic case for fitting it, and it boltd perfectly to my exhaust line (my car has a stroked B16B engine with the EK9 oem full exhaust and spoon N1).
So up to there everything was great, but i only encountered 2 problems that im looking to solve tomorrow.
Are this usual?
1st: radiator fan (the pallets) are touching the header and will have to trim this a bit.
2nd.: Sensor bolted perfectly on the pipe, but the wiring was a bit too short to connect both plugs (the sensor on the new pipe is on the side) so i havent been able to connect ir, si check engine light is on. I guess ill have to modify a bit the sensor wiring in order to ake it a bit longer (2" inches at the most)
So is this usual????
Please vteckidd, let me know if the problems ive encounterd are usual...
Here are some pics, a bit crappy cause i took this with the cel, 1st, 2 of the header when it arrived, then one installed, and the last one, after the header heated a bit, very niiiice colour.

As promised, pictures!!!
Liking the bronze affect!
It bolts up to the T1R test pipe.
The test pipe then bolts up to the T1R B-pipe.
You have to cut the fan shroud and a significant portion of the fan itself. If you're running a full fluidyne radiator, I suggest getting a thin fan for summer driving. I will be adding one before summer hits.
The O2 bung could of been positioned better. Notice how close the O2 sensor wiring is to the intermediate drive shaft. If the O2 bung was welded another inch or two back and located on top it would of been perfect. I will be getting a new O2 bung welded on soon. Got a little carried away with the zip tie =P But its a temporary fix.
Been driving around with it for a day now. Car is pretty quiet. Resonated test pipe and factory type r muffler probably contributes a lot. Still it's quieter then the production hytech I took off running an omni test pipe. My music doesn't have to be turned on as loud. Ground clearance is great.
Last time dynoed with hytech header, Omni testpipe, T1R B-pipe and type r muffler with skunk 2 pro 2s made 196hp/137tq. I have since sold the cams, They were too big for my setup. Looking for spoon street type muffler now and some toda Bs or skunk2 stage 2 cams. Live and learn I guess.
I am satisfied with quality and fitment. No problems with the header so far. For the price, you can't really beat this header. Itching to get this dynoed. But for $400 per tune in my area I will have to wait to get some cams before I tune. So no tune with just header. Sorry But I will probably still post up when I do.

heres my review: *open Header
a SiRII (1.6)
Stage 2 clutch
lite flywheel
MSD wires and rotor
Generic intake
Aluminum Radiator
weight reduction stage 2 (seats, Carpet, Tar).....lol
The Construction was good, the 4th pipe had one of the sections of pipe slightly off, it looked like a rough transition so i bought a 20 dollar rotary tool and grinded it down some, it was fun, so no prob. The inverse Cone is a nice piece of science too, it sounds crazy open header.
The install went smoothly once i slapped a slim fan infront of the radiator.
so i gave it a run, the pipes began turning a nice bronze, after a few runs it was a cool tint of brown and blue here and there. They're some sweet pipes.
so heres the funny part, mind you this is open header. Out the hole, great response, quick jump on bottom end, then around 4,300 until 5,000 i get a nasty buzz that feels like the exhasut is overflowing the intake, and losing airspeed and causes a crazy resosnce that works against it. you get me? once Vtec crosses in, its a screaming beast.
so whats going on here? i'm not complaining, i'm just curious why "it feels" like i'm not gaining smooth RPM all the way up, ya dig?.
AY man, thanx for your help too btw. i'm working on getting that extension welded up to close the gap.
SO WATS BUZZIN', CUZZIN

I see these are still going strong. Thanks for bringing a great affordable product to market.
Im going to the awards banquet this weekend , thanks again for all your help winning the National AND Regional championships.
This header has taken some real abuse and has held up perfectly.
I have ordered several headers from this guy , if they take a few days to get back to you,,,, believe me its worth the wait.

STOCK ITR MOTOR with KiddRACING NArrow B Header
got mine in earlier today! Gonna put it on the dyno tomorrow and then race IFO Houston on Sunday.
edit: I posted a results thread with back to back dyno tuning of this header vs. my cast iron ITR header. If you want to see results just search for it. It's in the all motor section.

received my header today :D initial thoughts are
Pros:
Quality craftsmanship
fantastic welds
merge collector with cone is fantastic
all hardware included
flange was flat, welds dont protrude into the header tubes
Cons:
packaging of the header was poor to say the least, the box was torn, and there was no packing material to speak of except for some thin bubble wrap around the header itself, when the fedex guy handed it to me, it was rattling around inside the box and the box itself was visibly damaged, i had my concerns but everything seemed to be fine once opened.

Re: **** RMF Narrow B Series Header BLOWOUT SALE****
Just installed mine this weekend, the header appeared to be good quality and install was a breeze with blox adj testpipe. Car is a 93 Si with B16 and a/c, it got close enough to melt some of the rubber on one ac line but that was the only issue.
clearing slave cylinder bleeder
the A/C line it melted, but doesnt make contact with
and after a trip to the store and back
clearance with eibach sportlines

to fit this header. your going to need to notch the cross member, remove the lower cross bar under the engine(gsr models dont have this because of the vtec engine) and either run a slim fan or you going to have to notch the radiator fan.
BTW that is the polished version of the kidd header.

*Note* Wear gloves when installing this header or use some rubbing alcohol and a rag to clean your oily prints off.
First pics is when i first installed it, Second pic is after the engine reached operating temperature.

Re: **** RMF Narrow B Series Header BLOWOUT SALE****
I've found a couple of pics very helpful about the header bolting up to the T1R testpipe, which confirms the length of this header the same as an OEM one. This was one thing I needed answers prior to purchasing. Unfortunately, I won't be able to purchase for a while.

Re: **** RMF Narrow B Series Header BLOWOUT SALE****
no it leaked at the donut gasket, and inside the 4-1 merge.
i tried to get mine warrantied but since i have the prototype header the factory wont warranty it.
i had a deal set up for a nice price to get a new one from kidd, but he stopped carrying them so i couldnt order.
