Default What is the best way to copy a trim piece?

I have an old IHC Scout that I am restoring and parts are harder than hell to find. (I do have a Honda - which is sort of why I am posting here... ). Anyways, my father has a scout that came with the trim panels that attach to the top of the scout (metal top is removable). My scout did not have these trim pieces, probably because it was an add on from the dealer at the time. I would like to copy his trim pieces WITHOUT damaging his, as I don't want him pissed at me...

What would be the best way to copy the trip pieces? A couple of the major ones basically go the entire length of the vehicle interior cab - they go around the side windows and stop at the tail gate and at the front door. What sort of material? Fiberglass, fleece, etc? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!!!

Also, I assume if I copy the originals, that the copy may be slightly bigger? Any way to avoid that?
