Default valve cover paint

Hello,

I have painted my valve cover about 6 months ago and now it looks like ****.
I didnt find wrinkled black so I used regular high temp. black color.

now it lost the shinning, any ideas how to restore its shine?

below you can find a pic just after being painted and another pic showing how to looks now. (already cleaned)

Agreed. Especially if it's the only thing shiny in the whole engine bay.

if you want a clear that holds a strong gloss you need to use a catalyzed clear. there is plenty of paint systems to choose from but that is a must if you are looking for a strong gloss.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/paint-body-84/valve-cover-how-too-2188046/

thats my vc and the gloss held up perfectly until i stripped the paint off to change the color. in hot conditions it was still fine (even with 14 psi)
