Sherwin Williams paint?
I remember seeing a thread for this a while ago and tried searching but the new search sucks of course.
Anyone using SW auto paint? Anything to make sure about at all? Pricing? I wanna know what you think about it.

i used it when i was at wyotech but didnt like it much. to many things had to be added to the clear for it to lay right. ppg or hok is what i use now little more pricey but better quality. just my 2 cents.

Re: Sherwin Williams paint?
I am by no means a great painter but I have been painting for about 4 years now and I have to say that SW is some of the crappiest paint I ever used. I've used PPG, Dupont mostly but I have also used other brands. But for the life of me I can't get the Sherwin Williams to lay down as smooth as the PPG. I really don't like it.

Re: Sherwin Williams paint?
My last coupe was painted with SW, the 9000 series or w/e it is. I think it came out great... my paint was flawless and I'm picky as ****.
Everyone's being pressed to do water-based paints now, and SW has been doing it since the beginning, so the compared to PPG and DuPont, SW is top of the line for what's going to be required soon enough.
This picture wasn't edited at all, nor did I have any type of wax or sealer on it.
