Default Im assuming this isnt normal???

Ok guys I got my car painted a year ago and have had nothing but problems with the idiot painters that did it. For the most part the car looks good. I was waxing the car yesterday and notice a lot of "junk" under the clear and in the paint. Is this due to a a shitty gun, a shitty paint booth, or both? I still owe the shop money and I am really debating on fighting with them to respray the car. Can someone give me some insight thanks?

pics will come but basically there is **** under and in the clear coat, there are areas where it was wetsanded and polished and whatever was in the clear, took the clear and paint off with it. There is also a lot of what appears to be dirt (or specs) of something in the paint.

Sounds like poor prep work left dirt and "junk" on the car which they painted over.

How do you owe the shop money a year after the work was done?

man. that sounds like poor prep work, bad guns, and a bad booth. you should either get a respray for their poor work.

It sounds like you got a little over spray on the base coat and the clear coated over it, and second it sounds like they didn't mix the hardener right not mixing the hardener can cause chipping of the clear coat in some cases . With the over spray they must of sprayed some other job by your car and it got on you paint .

All in all a body shop is suppose to get the customers approval and OK about the jobs they do, if there is anything wrong upon picking up your vehicle we as body shop owners are suppose to correct it to meet your satisfaction, i run a body shop so i dealt with little complaints .

no its not ash, that is the result of the nip and buff and the wet sanding taking off the clear and paint.

poor prep and a dirty booth....did you see the booth they used? some1 prolly opened the door or left it open when they were painting the car and you got stuff iin the base and clear.
\

can you feel bump when you rub your finger over them or is it kinda sharp? bump means its under the clear kinda sharp is in the clear.

i think they also had a bad gun, that's where the dark spots of the blue is coming from.

so regardless of what exactly it is, the fact is that it shouldn't be there and the car should be resprayed?

i would not blame that on the gun, the light and dark spotting is the painters fault for not having even coats with equal overlap on each spray pass.

those spots and will not come out the are under the clear coat, i bet they sprayed the base coat then waited a while before the clear coat so dust and junk could settle down on the base coat before the clear was applied. i would go complain right away. i know i would not let a car i painted leave like that!
