has anyone painted their full ek interior black?
I know this topic has been covered many times in different forms.
I have a light grey interior in my white 97 coupe, and i think black would look amazing.
I was wondering if anyone has painted their entire dash, seats, carpet, door panels black using something like Dupli color vinyl paint.
I've see a thread where carpet and seats were painted, and it looks good, but i want to see and hear from people that have done their entire ek interior

I painted the interior on my DB7, it had tan interior... It looked good, a little too glossy for me, but I cleaned the parts really good, scuffed them up with a fine scotchbrite pad and painted everything. It turned out really good. But after a year it was chipping off the kick panels and door handles, stuff that gets used. I mean this car was babied too, maybe 5k kms a year. Painted the carpet and rear seats also, same story, the black wore off the carpet in places and the backseat was stiff. No one ever sat in the rear seat so it didn't wear off but I'm sure it would've.
To be honest I wish I would've left it tan and lived with it, I wouldn't do it again I would just look for all black interior and swap it that way. If you do it right, painting everything inside is a lot of work and to have it all chip off is just really shitty after you spent hours removing, prepping, painting and try to put everything back in with marking it.

i was looking for an answer like that. although it would be hella nice to have a black interior, i know exactly what you saying about it chipping and wearing off over time. I was thinking maybe somebody had done it and had great success, but i am not about to ruin my interior, thanks for that response bro
