bumper cover questions
In the near futures, I plan on doing a re-spray of my bumper cover on a 01 civic. Theres a number of rock chips and whatnot that I would like to fill myself to cut down on labor costs. Is evercoat gonna be my best option for a plastic filler? I see it recommended on here a lot for plastic so I just wanted to get a few opinions.
As far as painting goes, I have heard there is a specific additive you need for paint on plastic to allow flex without cracking. Is there anything specific I should ask the body shop to make sure they use it? I plan on doing a 3M clear bra once its fully cured, but want to protect it until that point

Re: bumper cover questions
On plastic the best thing to use is 3M Automix, it is made for plastics exclusively.
The flex additive is only to allow the part to flex during installation, and it will evaporate out of the finish once it is fully cured. If you think you can install the bumper without cracking the paint, then don't worry about flex additive. I have done several plastic bumpers and never worried about it with no problems for years....

could always buy a new one, primed, off ebay or something. they are like 80 bucks and are free of any chips or cracks. just a suggestion

Re: bumper cover questions
yea Ive definately looked into that, but shipping on these are usually almost as much as the cover themselves. I see youre in the philly area...do you know of any decent junk yards around here?
