Default 99 CR-V Stereo Removal

Replaced the battery in my used CR-V and noticed that the stereo requires a code. Since I don't have the card itself, I have to give a local Honda dealership a different code off of the cd player so that I can get the proper code to input on the cd player so that it will work. Any suggestions on how to get the cd player out?

i just did this yesterday. take your shift boot panel two skrews and two pops. then take the panel with the fuse panel off. then take out your glove box two skrews on the bottom of the box. the take off the ashtray panel its tough after you get the skrews out you have to yank the **** out of it. then there are two silver bolts one on each side this undoes the black face that the radio and the climate controles. the you have to get like a thick putty knife. i used my butterfly knife. and pop that bitch out. your radio and controls should all come out as long as you disconnect all the harnesses. two for the climate and one for the radio and anttena too. call in the se. no. on the sticker on top of the radio. they gave it too me for free .

I would assume that it does not matter whether or not the CRV is AT or MT then? Mine is a 5-speed EX with a cd-player.

PLEASE SEARCH the World Wide Web First.

http://www.autotoys.com/New_Tech/DIY.../crv_radio.htm

http://www.geocities.com/kf6iiu@sbcg...et/crvdash.htm

First thing that popped up when I typed in "crv radio removal".

Oh, click on the second link.

Thanks for the assistance and the links. I did find the link at Auto-Toys.com but it said that some steps might be missing unless you are logged in as a customer. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't miss anything.

Thanks again!
