2010 Honda Odyssey EX-L (VCM) Vibration
I cant seem to isolate a a vibration that occurs at 18-23mph and then again at 40mph. Feels like a tire out of balance, wondering now if the transmission is the source. History: the van had sat for almost 2 years with less than 750 miles put on it during that time. Van has 20K miles on it. Was previously wrecked on the drivers side (suspension only).
List of items replaced in the past 3 weeks:
1. New tires mounted and balanced
2. Front brake job, (new pads and rotors resurfaced)
3. Passenger side axle replaced (intermediate shaft/bearing inspected - no play)
4. Driver's side inner and outer tie rods (outer - dry rotted/ inner tie rod bent)
5. Driver's side lower control arm (bushings dry rotted)
6. Engine and transmission mounts (all 5...no way to spend a weekend(s))
7. Tranny drain and refill (Maxlife - Drain plug looked like a Chiapet...)

Re: 2010 Honda Odyssey EX-L (VCM) Vibration
-When getting the new tires, were the rims checked for bends?
-Did you have the tires road force balanced?
-Does the vibration occur in relation to the ECO light on the dash?
(I ask because the VCM mode will cause shakes sometimes)

2. Next week Ill take it over to the shop to have the tires road force balanced just in case.
3. no relation to ECO mode
4. Installing drivers side CV axle tomorrow. Same side as the bent tie rod...

1. No, didn't think it would be a possibility of causing much (if any) issue with 65 series tires.

Re: 2010 Honda Odyssey EX-L (VCM) Vibration
I thought about just buying a new case and transferring the parts w/ rebuild kit. But after seeing the amount of metal on the drain plug when I did the first A/T fluid change (6 weeks ago/1K miles ago), I'm not sure thats a good idea.
Thoughts anyone?
