Hello, I have a 2005 Honda Odyssey driver side sliding door problem. The passenger works fine as it should, however the driver side will not open or close on its own, the door will latch if you close it manually but only when the switch up front is turned to the off position, also when it does latch it would suck the door in for about 2-3 seconds then about another 2-3 seconds later it will push the rear of the door back out a little and then latch. Does anyone know the problem for this?

I would inspect the lower stainless steel runners. They can get dirty and cause the door to stop working. While down there you should check the plastic roller to make sure that it isn't broken or missing. Do the same for the upper roller.

With everything clean and checked you should lube the runners. You should do the same for both doors. At least this will eliminate any mechanical issues as being the cause plus it needs to be done occasionally anyway.
