Default 2002 Odyssey shifs to easily

I have a 2002 Odyssey and suddenly last week it became WAY to easy to shift from Park to reverse to neutral to drive as if the detents wore out. It is so easy that I often miss reverse and neutral completely and slide right to drive. You still have to put the brake on to shift out of park and you still have to pull the shift lever to the rear to get it back into park.
What could cause this?
Thanks
Bruce

A little late in replying but check for faulty shift lever detent spring or plunger spring.
