Swapping a junkyard J35 into a friends car, thought it was going to be an easy job and I apparently thought wrong! No issues with the swap itself, however after the install it will not start with the CKP sensor plugged in. Unplug the CKP sensor and it fires right up and runs great! OH! and I almost forgot to mention... The motor also knocks under load but only after I plug the CKP back in after I have started it without, also once warmed up will start with the CKP plugged in.

After all of that the alternator went bad as well as the IACV But have since been dealt with and no longer an issue.

Ok so now I am able to drive it to work in limp mode so I can clear the codes and re-learn the ECM/PCM. Disconnected the battery for 10 min. reconnected the battery and cleared the ECM/PCM. Starts right up with the CKP plugged in! let it do its thing for about 20-30 minutes and shut it off. Went to drive it home and it wont start. Unplug CKP and drive home. Next day I drive it to work and clear the codes while its running and it dies. Decide to relearn the computer again. Runs for a short time and the RPM drops/cuts out a couple times and decides to throw a P0336 code at me. CKP sensor 1 range/performance malfunction.

Have checked sensor resistance and is within spec. so its not the sensor and I have good current to harness side of 2-pin connector. However the resistance at the PCM between the CKP pins is of the charts. Is it the computer that's causing all of this!?

I have done a lot of research on Honda-tech and found it very helpful, however I cant seem to figure this thing out. Any of you that can throw some info my way will be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time.
