Default side markers

If my side markers only have two wire one ground and the other power, how do I wire them so that they stay lit with parking and also blink with the blinks or is this not possible?

You connect one lead to the parking light positive wire, and the other lead to the turn signal positive wire. I wouldn't recommend setting them up this way, but they will stay lit and also blink opposite the turn signals.

"T" off the wire and send one power wire to your blinker, and one to your parking lights and ground your ground. That should work. I thought the blinker was the parking light too, but ive been wrong before.

I wanted to do this also but I "T" the wires so they could stay on and flash when the turn signal is on but it kept popping my fuses, so now im not sure how to do it. Any suggestions?

Wires are wires, you don't need to buy special Honda ones if you are willing to saughter (sp?) and splice. To blink with your corners, just splice the wires to the appropriate power and blinker light on your corner harness.

If you just want them to blink but not stay on all the time, you could do it by connecting the ground, and the power to the wire on the blinker that controls blinking (usually the striped wire).

To have it stay on and blink when you blink, you would need to run a relay... which I don't know too much about.

Good luck

i actually just installed sidemarkers on my ef today.
To have them only blink with signals and not stay on all the time: wire them into the bumper lights
To have them stay on with the running lights and blink with the signals: wire them into the corner light signals

bear in mind i can guarantee this will work for ef's but i am not completely sure if it will work for all others too.

if you wire them into the corner lights, they will act just like corner lights. did it on my del sol and works fine. if you want to be safe add a fuse inline with the sidemarkers.
