Adding the sets we do for the cause... Kill the glare, Kill the PnP kits people.
This is how we HIDo-It-Right

Uses integrated reverse mounted COB halos to act as a full housing city light. Amber or White

Just realized I never posted any pics... WHOOPS.

Did the fogs first. Rewired them becasue the ebay harness was **** and retrofitted them with a proper shield for a solid cutoff.

As it came with the halogen H1 bulb in there.

First I had to reshape the retainer pin for the HID bulbs.

Then I had to take the connectors off the bulb so I could pass the wires through the housing.

BAM, all done.

Nee to pull some headlight pics of he home PC but here's what I got for now. Fitment on the ebay housing is **** but it DID allow for the retrofit to be done well and becasue the glass isn't fluted the cutoff is MONEY.

Half Baked

All the ingredients ready to mix.

Low Beam Cut Off

Bi-Xenon Highs

Fogs throw a nice wide beam but still have a crisp cutoff!

Sorry my pics suck LOL.

Well, not to be a biter but... they're going to end up looking exactly like yours, minus the halos. Really looking forward to them though. I'm going to mothball them until after the new year, but I had to jump on that sale. I'll be picking up a set of housings from you guys when the time comes!

Yeah the housings are pretty darn nice. I had them side by side my old CTR's and noticed these new ones have a slight bronzy shine to their gunmetal look. I really dig em.

Build quality is nice too.

Going to throw in some switch-back CREE turn signals too? lol

New member to the HT forums, but here's my retrofit. By all means, nothing special. Did this a few years ago right after I got my car. Another Morimoto H1 kit. First put them in EBay housings, then decided to put them in the USDM housings. Plan on using my spare glass lenses to deflute them so I can get the nice cutoff back.

You've had those in for a little while. How are they treating you? Any issues?

They're awesome to say the least! Output is fantastic.

No issues with the kit itself. The one issue i did run into was the D2S plug that kit comes with is huge and doesn't fit with the headlight worth a damn. Insert me getting a little pissed off and I snapped the locking nibs on one of the bulbs. Opps.....
One of these days I'm going order Osram bulbs, and the straight D2S plugs, new ignitors and extension wires so I can stuff the ballasts in the bumper.

I'd recommend this kit to anyone.

To improve the fitment of the XB D2S Igniters, you can use a Dremel and bore-out the opening of the back of your civic headlight to provide more clearance.

Or use a cutting wheel and cut off the last 1/2" where the headlight bulb opening is. Makes the bulb opening wider/shorter. but you can still put the rubber boot over it for weather sealing.

Nice. I can't believe mine have been sitting in the box for six months now. Maybe I'll be able to get to them this winter (pending having them in my possession and a place to do work). Car is currently on one side of the continent, kit on the other, and I'm bouncing around in the middle from week to week.

I'd prefer to just buy different ones. I'm unhappy with the length as it basicly forced me to have the ballasts in the bay, which I don't like.
When that happens I'm going to take the TRS relay harness apart and extend everything so it's more stealthy.

Damn.

On the bright side, the install for those is very simple and shouldn't take you more than an hour each.

Hey Guys,

I saw a EG from Russia that had an amazing retrofit, after aprox a year of asking around on forums and google translating from Russian. I finally found out a little bit about the retrofit. And now I need some help.

This is the retrofit i saw.

The projector used is one from a EDM Civic Type-R (EP3)
How hard do you think it is to retrofit into a EG

You can buy a used housing with projector really cheap (50$) from the scrapyard in sweden. And they look like this.

Do i need the harness from the EP3, or can i just buy the rest of the stuff from TheRetrofitSource?

Thanks in advance
/M

Hey guys. Just got an extra set of USDM OEM Integra headlights. I plan to do a retrofit myself. Probably will order a set of FX-R projectors from TRS. Any pointers or DIYs? Or another set of BiXenon projectors you'd recommend over FX-Rs? I searched on here but no luck. Thanks!

Patrickgsr94 posted a DIY years ago with his integra. they weren't FXR's, but I'm sure you will be fine.

I have FXR's in my civic currently, and they are amazing. I recently upgraded to Osram CBI's which improved them even more. However, being me, nothing is good enough so I actually looking to sell them and go with Lexus RX350's, or something else. Not sure yet.

Check Hidplanet there is a LOT more info there, than compared to here.

A bored update, but after almost 9 months I lost a TRS ballast the other day.
Being that they have such bad *** customer service, there is a new ballast on the way.

and I've made the choice to go a different route and sold the FXR's. I will be going with TL projectors, TRS 35watt kit, and Osram CBI's. I will be modding the TL's. I am very excited to get my hands on them.

Way to show up on your first post. Nothing says future four-star poster like quoting a six month old post to bust the guy's chops and call him names.

I want to become a member too!
I retrofitted OEM LED projector headlights, not HID. Now more and more people install LED projector.

BTW, here is my another auto 2015 Toyota Sienna
