Default HID problem...

I purchased an HID kit quite a while ago and installed it on my project car when i first received it. I had them on the car for about two weeks and then the car was taken completely apart for a full build and hasnt moved since. I finally finished my new battery setup and tried out all of my switches, lighting etc and noticed something very weird on my driver side bulb.

When i turn the headlights on the driverside bulb flickers and then comes on. The passenger bulb comes on smoothly and operates fine. The driverside bulb also is a different color than the passenger since this has started. Its a purer whiteish/purple tint, whereas the passenger light is the original whiteish/blue tint.

I was looking for some insight as to what would cause this problem? and how to fix it. Ive included a couple of pictures for reference on the color difference. Hard to notice but you can see it in the pictures. I've also included a short video clip to show the flicker i speak of.

Thanks in advance for any help you may have to offer.

The flickering at startup is normal.
Why? the ballasts need alot of amperage to become functional. As a result, the bulb will appear as really bright at first. Then, as the ballasts become stable, the amperage goes down and the bulb will start warming up.
As the bulb warms up, you will notice that upon activating your low beams, they will start up as very bright then dim, and slowly going back up to their normal brightness.

However, if they flicker WHILE they're been on for awhile, then your bulb might be the problem. And by flickering, i mean an interminent flickering or flashing.

to add to it, hid bulbs colorshift with time.
By colorshifting, I mean as they age, they go higher in kelvin temperature(color).

the flickering makes the bulb age at a faster rate
