help XenTec 10K HID Kit only one light dont work side blow fluse.
help XenTec 10K HID Kit only one side blow fluse. i got a Xen Tec 10K hid kit H4 for a honda civic.
i installed everything correctly plug and play and if i turn the low beams on it blows the fuse only on the drivers side light. i tried 15 amp fuse but still. blows the drivers side low beam. the passengers side low beams don't blow the fuse.
why does the drivers side light blows the fuse every time i use the low beam.
and why only the low light works with the hid and highbeams look like stock?/

on HID ballasts though it does matter which way power flows though the transformer.

The plug and play systems are known for this.. really its almost unavoidable unless you go with an OEM HID retrofit. Ive gone through 2 sets and i kept blowing ballasts so i just said forget it and went back to stock Halogen till i can afford to do an HID retrofit

i switched Hid wiring ballast/HID bulb to drivers headlight side and now only that side blows the fuse. im thinking its the wiring for the Hid kit that i plug in how do i fix that.... or verify .

I believe the middle prong is your low beam. Verify with a test light, and make sure the adapter plug for the kit uses this as 12v.
You don't have hi/Lo hids do you?

Re: help XenTec 10K HID Kit only one light dont work side blow fluse.
is there a way to check the ballasts with an DMM meter.
i don't know if i am checking it correctly.
on my ballast i checked for ohms on thermals, positive -positive, and neg-neg on both sides of plugs.
there are reading also vice versa.
one ballast on the other hand doesn't have any reading on ohms on the negative sides (neg-neg) but only with positive and postive is it supossed to be like that? but has only (positive-positive)
the other good ballast has both readings .
