So iv been on here alot reading as much as i can about k swaps. Ihave a 92 VX Hatch and i realllllly wana do this k swap. I wana go all out and have my buddy build the motor for me at his shop. I found a few thing that other people were talking about and i just dont know if its all lagit. One of the things is this Hybris Racing site. I checked it out and it has alot to offer and great help on how to do the stuff, also has almost all the parts you need to do the k swap. But i just dont know if there like a knock-off brand or if there stuff is good. Id like some feedback on there stuff if anybody has tryed it out or has head anything about them. I do wana buy all the parts Brand new because im buying EVERYTHING new (other than the block and head) but just dont know if i should go thu them or someone else. Another thing i came across was this H motors online site. I didnt really check it out to much but i seen there prices were cheaper than what iv seen on here. So also id like some feedback on them if anyonre has any experiance thu them or there stuff.

hybrid is legit. they've been doing k swaps since the beginning. russ and tim are good guys to deal with. i have a few of their small stuff and it's all great quality.

Alright shweet deal doood. Another question i have is, What would any of you guys think would be the best block and head i should get for the most rpm i can get. I was talking to my buddy that has a k swap (cant member what motor he has) but he said he can rev out to 9800 rpm. This might sound crazy but i want more than that, maybe like 11000 or 12000 rpm (might be unpractical) but i really want that. hah.

and what is the point of revving that high?

i rev my k20 to 9000 only because it prevents me from having to shift into 5th at the end of the track. it does not make power that high.

Thats what i figured i was guna hear that it wont make power revving that high. I just was wanting the higher rpm for longer gears and obviously more power. What if you have to motor built to withstand higher revs?? Or is it just not real to be able to rev it that high??

an engine that makes power that high will not be streetable at all. just get it out of your head already.

? How do you go from wanting to learn about a k-swap basics to having a motor "built" to rev to 12k? Yes unpractical, yes unnecessary. Your buddy and his shop should have told you this

Aright. Im just asking questions, guess there dumb ones but i just wanted to know because i didnt know b4. Sorry. But thank you for the feedback. It did help. And i havnt told my buddy what i want outa the motor yet. He just said he would do the work for me. Im very motivated and i dont plan of having this done over night. Im really wanting a legit build outa this and plan on doing alot, not just throw a swap in and be done. So thats why i asked questions and asked for some feedback.
