I have a k24 in a em2 with a rsx type s harness and a prc 013 ecu. I changed the ecu pin for the fuel pump and used the rywire conversion harness for the em2. the problem is im not getting spark or fuel. I checked and I have voltage at the coils and injectors. Im using a k24 ckp but i rewired it for the rsx harness. The CKP harness has its 5v and 12v. The Fuel pump comes on and builds pressure even during cranking. I got to start a acouple times then it quit so i ordered a new ckp but that didnt fix it. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Try to start it with your crank sensor unplug

If im running a prc ecu I shouldnt have to do anything other than move the fuel pump wire and add in the wire for the conversion harness for the o2 sensor right? would a bad clutch switch keep the injectors and coils from firing?

Dose the check engine light, light on and off when your keys on position 2 in the key cylinder? see if your fuel pump relay is even switching over

The relay clicks and the pump primes just fine. There is power to the injectors and coils when the key is on. ill check for the check engine light when the key is on position 2. will it give me a accurate code even if it wont start?

so its a bad ecu. tried it on a known working swap and i have the same issue. who repairs ecus? I bought this one months ago and just got it to a running point so a refund from the ebay seller isnt an option.

can i use a pnd ecu to make sure it fires ( i know it wont run long because of the immobilizer) before i spend another 350 - 400 on a prc?

What really does the inmolizer? Isn't just reading the key? If is that, don't you can just get your key programmed?

the only issue with that is I removed all the emissions and evap stuff and Ac. I dont want to get the key re-programmed and then have to deal with check engine lights for stuff I removed. I just dont want to change burning up a prc. I know the wiring is good. I checked it all but its still a $400 dollar risk

i sen the ecu off (ouch $271) they said it had a couple questionable solder joints so they reflowed it and it tested out fine. still no spark for injectors. i check the harness and no wires are broke from the ecu to the injectors and crank sensor. any ideas?

fixed it finally. the replacement crank sensor that was shipped to me was the k20 one not the k24 one like the add said. I swapped the wiring on it and it started. now I just have to fix the fuel pump deal with the prc ecu. It will only run for a few seconds.

so I thought it was fixed.....

ok. I bought a new crank sensor and i can get it to start and run for a few seconds then it dies and throws a crank sensor functionality code. Along with the battery relocation i moved the fuse box. the signal wire from the crank sensor is clean to the ecu. I wondering if the 12v feed is dropping voltage. It does pop once or twice before it starts. and it smells like its running rich. and ideas?

I had a epiphany last night and took the valve cover off. i saw headstuds i didnt know were there. then i checked the timing and it appears that both cams are off 1 tooth. Im going to re-time it and see if that fixes the issue. apparently the guy i cought the motor from had the head off at one point in time

fixed it !!!!!! the previous owner said the motor ran. the timing was off a tooth and the trigger wheel was on backwards. now im just getting p0141 code. i have the conversion harness with the relay for the o2 sensor installed. along with the sensor. any ideas?

so the k24 had a bad headgasket. I bought a k20a so im getting closer. Im surious about map sensor. i plugged my scanner in and i get 29 kpa with the sensor plugged in and 51 with it unplugged. when I start the car it idles alittle rough and pops at 2000 rpms. the map sensor reading doesnt change at all from 29kpa. i tested all of the wiring and it all measures to spec. I tried 2 sensors with the same result. i guess both of them could bad. Im sure its not the tps wiring i checked that.
