Default New To Honda-Tech.com

Guys I would like to take the time to tell everyone how excited I am to finally get some good advice on how to build my 1999 Honda Civic Si. I got about 7,000 to spend so I would like to get the best way to spend it and get the most out of My Honda. I want to do a swap and would like to know the best engine to get and what about the new EFR turbos I've been hearing about? And buy the way I'm new to cars and the lingo, so keep it basic. I know some things but not a lot.

if your gunna go turbo id keep that engine. if your new to cars the best way to learn is to start easy and and tinker with what you have. If you try doing something over the top you can get overwhelm very fast.

edit* considering its still the original Si engine? all stock or what mods do you have so far?

Still the same engine but it's run down I believe. I don't have any mods but I know I need to change the pistons and a couple of other things out if I run the turbo. I want to buy a Dart Block that makes them for Honda. They say it was built to withstand the extreme cylinder pressures created by turbochargers and nitrous oxide injection. Is it better to buy the block itself and get the parts to build it.
