Icon2 ls b18b vs b18c

Hey guys. I'm new to Honda-Tech and I figured I'd ask a question. So, I'm wanting to put a full swap into a civic hatch. I've come down to two engines and those would be the ls b18b($2100) and the b18c,GSR($3300). I know the GSR has more power and vtec which is nice, but since there is a $1200 difference between the 2 engines would it be better to get the ls b18b and put $1200 worth of upgrades into it, or just buy the b18c and why?

Thank you!

Also, if i go with the b18b (which is kind of what I'm leaning towards), I plan on turboing it. I won't have the money to turbo if i go with the gsr. That being said, what would be the best turbo kit to put on a b18b?

I also had a question regarding LSV, my eg has a b18a1 block so I wan't to slap on the VTEC head, question I have is: is there any significant difference between using a b16 head vs a GSR head? Also, this may be a super noob question, but do I have to buy a whole new engine to use the VTEC head? Or do people just find vtec heads separate?
