Ladies and Gents
Hello to the Honda-Tech community!
Figured I'd introduce myself to everyone, now that I officially have my first Honda. It's a 98 Civic Hatchback, DX, Manual, 76k miles, black, w/ SI wheels and SI seats. I bought the car as my new daily driver/commuter, but that doesn't mean that it's going to stay completely stock.
After looking on a few different forums, it seems that H-T is the most active. I hope to learn as much as I can from you guys!
The car needs some TLC in a few places, but for the most part I'm very impressed with it. I averaged 37.9 MPG on the way back from where I purchased it. The big issues with this car that need to be addressed are no A/C (I've got a few pieces to get it back online though), CV boot is torn leaking grease (already have two new CV axles ordered), 3rd gear grinds, O2 sensor is bad (CEL on), possible faulty IACV, no headunit/stereo, and a few other odds and ends.
The car came with SI wheels, but with almost bald tires. Knowing that I needed new tires, and not caring for the SI wheels, I found a guy selling the Integra LS Mesh wheels for $100 on craigslist, and he was on the way home! Picked those up and had new tires installed today along with window tint!
Anywho, looking forward to learning as much as I can from you guys. Here are some pics.

Re: Ladies and Gents
Thanks! It looks a lot cleaner in pictures than in person, to be honest. It's got some hail damage spread out all over. The roof, the hood, the duckbill wing, and the doors all seem to be riddled with nickel-quarter sized dents (not very deep though). Eventually I'll replace the body panels with new ones and repaint the car, but that will be a long time from now.
