Female Owned '88 CRX Si - B16A 1st Gen - NEED MOAR POWER! ;)
Planning on throwing a T3 on my 88 crx si.
Wanting 250-300hp, 8-10psi, hondata tune.
Any recommendations on where to get a full turbo kit besides Ebay?
or is that my best bet for the $$ amount?
Wonder if I can get my turbo for a Black Friday deal.... Lol!

Log mani should be good. Is this a d series or b series? I'm assuming b series. I'd get some 550 or 750cc injectors should be able to find some RC 750s for cheap. a nice 60 trim turbo will be plenty for 300 hp. I'd look into some head studs and e85, 255 walbro, tial wastegate and BOV if its in your budget lol.
edit: I see it is a b16 lol

Yea, but 2k is getting a brand new kit, with quality parts and a good turbo. You never know what someone could have did to a part.. and you gotta pay to play.

lol i know you have to pay to play. but you can buy a used tial wastegate for 200$ you just need to make sure its not fake. you can get used injectors, intercooler, bov, **** even a used turbo just have to inspect everything. You could piece together a turbo kit for around 1k with a new turbo and used parts. for 250-300 hp who cares you don't need expensive turbo parts to make that much power lol...

Shes gonna wanna upgrade after feeling 250-300 hp. Buying a kit that you can customize before you buy will take your wallet in the long run.

yeah she will? but anything over 300 on stock internals is pushing it. I'm assuming she doesn't want to spend the money on building her motor? a log mani is just fine for 500 hp. not optimal but it will work just fine same with a 38mm tial wastegate. theres people here in colorado that have made 600 hp on a small 300 hp precision intercooler? name brand **** is cool but a cheap 100$ intercooler and piping will work just fine. the only things i wouldn't cheap out on is the manifold wastegate and turbo

You forgot the fittings and lines. Eventually, shes going to want more boost, its pretty much a given.

with a turbo that size on my R i went 12.5 @ 118 at 7 psi back in 05 or 06 at MIR. turbonetics is a brand ive heard of that ive never used but ive had a couple of friends that had. i cant say much more than that because i hadnt really heard any real comments to either the positive or negative about it, but the price for the kit is decent. it doesnt look like it makes any mention of the fmu or a missing link, and the missing link at least is a must, but i wouldnt go the 11 or 12:1 fmu route. on mine i ran hondata s200b and id say youre going to want at LEAST get some sort of engine/fuel management tuned like hondata..
good luck on the way. it can break you..

That's just another Ebay company who couldn't care less after getting your hard earned $$$. The kit looks okayish,
cast iron manifold = stronger (less chance of cracks),
wastegate placement central good,
turbo good,
wastegate itself looks cheap
BOV cheap
Intercooler tube and fin - cheap
I'm running the numbers in my head and you could get much better value for money if you piece together a kit as someone said. You just have to be smart and visualize fitment in your head. Sometimes items like downpipe and wastegate dump tube need to be custom. You still need injectors, walbro pump and management if you don't already have those.
I can help you get excellent discounted prices on a wide range of aftermarket BRAND NAME parts. Just send me a PM for what you're looking for and I will do my best. I'm trying to get information on vendor status but I haven't got any response. I'm an honest guy who prefers to sell quality parts and I would love the opportunity to serve Honda-Tech.
