KR-Z on the Cover of Honda Tuning Magazine
We are very excited that the KR-Z made the cover of Honda Tuning Magzine this month.
Maybe Honda will see the need to add a regular gasoline engine as an option at least , I can't describe how much better this car runs with over 200whp.
Thanks for all the positive feedback over the years, this is our 14th year.
I wanted to give a big thanks to :
Hondata
The Drive Shaft Shop
Clutch Masters
Ground Control
Honda ( for leaving so much room for improvement)

it is my understanding that when honda usa handed out cr-z's to shops for sema show, the shops were told they could not do motor swaps because honda wanted to see tuned "stock " motors under the hood.

That is very true, That's why we had to buy ours. Honda didn't help us at all.

Re: KR-Z on the Cover of Honda Tuning Magazine
I think Honda is doing what they do best. It is in their business model.
I like the CRZ how it is from the factory. What I would like to see is what shop(s) can do to the factory setup to increase power and performance. This is what most people will want to see that purchase the vehicle for the first several years. But...
I can't wait to open this issue's HTuning magazine to see what is involved in that CRZ. Modifications of any kind are still great to see.

Love it.
In 20 years people are going to be buying rusty old cr-z's for 600 bux and swapping k20's into them for a couple grand

The KR-Z
IS the model Honda should have released from day one. Well, at least here in the USA.
Then followed by an HF version with a hybrid powertrain.

I don't see what's wrong w. Putting a k in a hybrid.
I sure as hell wouldn't mind one.. its the only thing this car is missing. Like. Someone else said Honda should have made a k model and a hybrid model.
the crx was never a hybrid (obviously as it's 20 years old)
sure it was an awesome economy car, but a k isn't horrible gas milage.
That's like saying crx's shouldn't have anything more then a b16
Ill bet you could almost keep the total price under 30k.
Now,im not balling but a mugen si 4 door cost that much and. It prolly weighs at least 1000 more lbs.
HATE ON HATER

Re: KR-Z on the Cover of Honda Tuning Magazine
MAD PROPS TO LHT!!!!!!!! I loved the K-Sight & have been waiting for their next game changer!!!
As for Honda releasing a KR-Z I'm gonna go out on a very BIG limb and say NEVER HAPPEN!!! It's in their DNA not to do it. That's like asking for a V6 in the next gen civic. Yes the CR-X's & EG's came with B16's, but when that was going on IN JAPAN we were doing ZC swaps & tuning on SOHC's. HYBRID is the word for the next 5 years and they are going to ride that wave like every other car company in the world!
If the people of the world really want to complain and beg Honda to give us something we as consumers & tuners deserve, is to look back to the years that made them the ICON they are (IMO) now and give us the 35+ MPG NON-HYBRID smaller lighter cars we love. BUT 50+ mpg's, a K20, & an Insight and I'm guessing the CR-Z is hitting in that range as well IS PRETTY F***ING BAD ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh this car is sick. I don't see anything topping this anytime soon (Maybe a K-swap in the FCX Clarity?). Great work guys

Re: KR-Z on the Cover of Honda Tuning Magazine
these guys actually have an ebay listing. For 17k on top of the cost of a brand new crz, they will k swap it, tune it, lower it and put some wheels on for you, id assume keeping all of your original parts.
Id rather do it myself for a ton less dough, but the krz is sick
