Don Nguyen | Matte black vinyl roof wrap - White Honda Insiight
I know this is probably not a common modification for Insight owners, but the owner of this car had me vinyl wrap the roof of his car in my matte black vinyl material. I think the matte went nice with the style of the car. Although, gloss black would have looked just equally as nice as well.
These pictures are several years old and the same owner brought his car again several years later to have me wrap his roof in the 3M dinoc matte carbon fiber material his second time around, to change it up a bit. I'll post pictures of that in the next post below.

Re: Don Nguyen | Matte black vinyl roof wrap - White Honda Insiight
The owner of this car was from around Long Beach and drove out to me in Anaheim Hills / Orange County to have the vinyl work done. The roof was fairly big and had an antenna and rear windshield nozzle right next to it that I had to work around, but everything came out looking good. I've had people ask me if I can wrap mirrors. Yes, I can wrap mirrors, however, it's not so much if I can wrap them, but if the material can can maintain that shape/contours of the piece being wrapped.

how does that wrap hold up to rain/snow?
would love to do that to my front/rear lip & side skirts but just iffy on durability.

I get that question quite a bit actually. You'd be surprised at the amount of vinyl that's used around you (think taxis, buses, advertising on windows, etc).
This material (at least the one that I use/supply) is designed to be used outdoors and has been tested to hot and cold temperatures. I've sold my material to people on the east coast, Canada, and even to people all around the world (europe, asia, etc). I have not had anyone tell me that the material experienced any unordinary wear.
Of course, harsher conditions are not going to be as ideal, but that goes for anything. I typically say, if anything, at least the vinyl will help add a small protective layer to those areas that you wrap.
