I'm not a B series guy. But I'm pretty sure that it is a Non VTEC LS block with a VTEC head swapped onto it. You would probably be able to find a lot of info in the hybrid forum. It seems to be a pretty popular swap for the budget oriented small block Honda guys.

doesnt have to be a ls block. it can be a gsr, as long as its Ls crank , and rods its considered a ls-vtec with oil squirters.

not quite that easy. I know you'll need to drill new holes for oil lines as well as getting a chipped ECU and then tuning the car. I've never had a B series motor, so I can't really tell you what all goes into the whole process.

first of all a gsr has a vtec head already so idk why you would downgrade and get an ls crank and rods and an ls/vtec is ls bottom end with a vtec head put on top. The vtec head could come from various cars such as Del Sol's, Civic Si's etc...

what are you talking about? downgrade? you know what you are talking about? throwing in ls crank and rods would be an upgrade. more stroke.
Ls vtec isnt just a ls bottom end, it could be a gsr/type r with ls internals too.

but to the o/p yes, you must tap the head for the oil.

o/p pm me and i can explain it a little more detailed for you.

Just wanna ask for confirmation... Is it true both B18B & B18A don't have VTEC head?

To put B16A or B16B or B18CR head on it, with current wiring/harness is it possible to use VTEC ECU (from B16A or B16B or B18CR) without major re-wiring job.... Any suggestion where can i read about this in more details?

This thread should be very helpful. There is allot of info on these setups on this site. Give our search feature a try. Search in civic, integra, and hybrid forums.

No. A lsvtec MUST use a LS/B18A/B18B block. A B18C block with a LS crank is a B18C block with a LS crank, it's just stroking the engine. There is no way to argue around it.
