I assume you going to stay OBD-0 with your crx right? or are you planning to convert to OBD1?

If you stay OBD0 you need to get a hold of a 89-91 B16A distributor.

If going OBD1 its best to getta hold of an OBD1 B-series dizzy.

Doing this will alleviate you of crank sensor issues, because on US OBD2 vehicles/engines, the crank sensor is located on the oil pump rather than inside the dizzy (which OBD-0/1 all have).

just a quick heads up...

you can use any distributor as long as its the correct OBD generation. It will fit into the cam slot and physically plug in, but you will have to modify the mounting legs to get it to bolt up.

I have a d16a6 distributor on my b18a1, my friend has a d16a6 distributor on his b16a

Katman - Actually, he was referring to the crankshaft position sensor, which is inside the distributor on all B/D series engines, regardless of obd type. The crankshaft fluctuation sensor is mounted on the oil pump assembly..
