Default OBD2 Distributor on my OBD1 B18C??

Sup fellas, I've almost got my brothers hatch running but I'm stuck..

He was running an AEM ems on the car, I've went back to an OBD1 Chipped P72. Long story short, he was somehow running an OBD2 dizzy with an MSD cap and external coil, I've swapped everything back to OEM with a new oem coil and put it back in the cap.

The harness had the dizzy plug cut off so I'm attempting to wire the mating plug from a 98 Integra onto it and use the OBD2 dizzy but I'm getting conflicting info on wire colors and such, all I'm getting is backfiring and popping when trying to start the car. Timing is set and verified.

Can I do this or do I need a OBD1 B18C Dizzy?

OBD1 and OBD2 D and B-series distributors are identical other than the plug(s). So yes you can use it.

Thanks for replying 94EG8, I've read a few of your threads/posts on this subject. Problem is my wire colors don't seem to match anything you or anyone else posted...

My engine harness is OBD1 and had the dist plug cut off, and I have no idea what my distributor came off of. It was in my bro's box of parts. It fits my '00 ITR head is all I know.

You want to post some pics and I'll see if I can match up the colors?
