OBD2 3 wire IACV to OBD1 2 wire harness Help
This is the third time I have had this question brought up and need a solve from someone that knows what to do on it. The scenario is they swapped an obd2 engine into an obd1 accord. Everything matched after swapping dist., sensors, etc., but when they got to the IACV, the bolt pattern is different and won't go over onto it. I know that an adapter plate can be manufactured, but that is not the way that I want to go. I would like to just wire in the obd2 three wire to the two wire harness. Cut two of the wires and splice them together? Cut one of the wires and run only two of the wires on the IACV? Possible or not? I did a search and came up with nothing.

Not possible.
ECU's that originally controlled a 2-wire IACV will never contol a 3-wire IACV and vice-versa.

ohh i had a time with that one on my h22 96 ek. apparenlty the wires on the ecu side are pinned different between some years? or maybe from different manufactureuers. anyway the wires on the ecu side werent where they were supposed to be. like displayed in that pic^
i just repinned them and it was all good.
gotta have the FLUKE for bigger wiring jobs.
