LS Vtec Catch can question.
I got a new catch can to replace my old cheap un baffled can and I had a few question on how other have theirs setup. My old set up was based off the Endyn can with the 2 fitting on the back of the block and the oil in the catch can draining back into the block. I also had the valve cover vent line going to the can as well, I was getting oil in my intake tube from running the line from the valve cover to the intake. After I removed the oil can the oil that drained from the lines and the can was milky from moisture. I did not like that or the fact that contaminated oil was draining back into the motor. So this time I removed one of the block fitting and blocked it off again, no oil drain back and venting off 1 block fitting and the valve cover. Being a LS Vtec I have no PCV system so this is to vent crank case pressure. How does this setup sound? Are other people having oil come out the valve cover vent? Not a lot but over time it builds up. My motor is strong and healthy and I dont get excessive blow by.

It sounds like you are running a stock pcv system design with a catch can in between? A little bit of oil is normal, oil particles are in the vapors that are pulled through. What exactly is your question?

Re: LS Vtec Catch can question.
No PCV system it is a LS Vtec with B18B1 block. I was wanting to know if people had issue with oil mist coming out of the breather can's filter and how everyone else has theirs plumbed in. But I got it all sorted out, new plumbing and new vent can.
