K-Swap DC2 - No Power to ECU / Ignition Help
So yesterday I tried wiring up my electric fan. There was an extra plug hanging out up front in the engine bay so I figured it had to be the factory electric fan plug since everything else is plugged in on this swap and this was a two prong with a Yellow/Blue stripe and a Black/Yellow stripe.
I chopped off the plug,
I wired it up, nothing happened so I put the power wire directly to the battery and left the ground on the Black/Yellow stripe wire.
Something shorted.
The car no longer primes the fuel pump. The car primes when I hook that power wire(from battery) back to that Black/Yellow wire, but that doesn't help anything.
I turn the key to the ON position and nothing. Just the oil light, no CEL, no other lights.
I hooked up the K-Pro to see if I can read anything. With the key on the ON position, the ECU cannot be read. It is not powered.
I've checked all the fuses, they all were fine. I've replaced the Main Relay, the fuel pump rewire relay, the interior relay (on my Hybrid Racing harness) and still nothing.
I've put the ECU in a friend's EP3 to see if the ECU is fried, it works.
I need input asap. I'm on about 16 hours of trouble shooting this.

Re: K-Swap DC2 - No Power to ECU / Ignition Help
So the car runs with it wired backwards through the ignition wire in the engine bay/sensor plug that was cut off.
The Black with Yellow stripe wire is in fact an ignition wire.
Anyone know why I'd get continuity from the Ignition Fuse to the steering column, and then can power the ECU from the Ignition wire in the engine bay?
So what goes between the ignition fuse and the ECU? Or where am I losing the power?

Did this ever get resolved? I'm experiencing a similar issue and maybe it might help me out to know your resolution.
Thanks.
Thanks.
