JDM f20b into a 2002 accord... We need some help!
A friend of mine just ordered a f20b motor to replace the beat f23 ulev motor in his 2002 accord.
The engine is in the car, it runs on the JDM Ecu but has a check engine light.
I've been searching here for days with no luck so now I post.
Were in NY state so the car has to pass emissions/obd2 inspection.
Is there any way we can get this car to run on the original Ecu from
The f23? What can I switch over to make it work? Or what are the options? We still have the old motor with all the sensors, so they can be swapped or whatever.
They already moved a pin for the fuel pump to get it to run on the JDM Ecu, so we will have to switch it back for the usdm Ecu to be used.
Long story short- can we get this to run properly and pass emissions? Even just long enough to get a sticker and swap it back?
What needs to be done to get this to happen?
If no one knows personally, can you point me in right the direction?

No codes yet, we just got it running on the stock Ecu. I left it with the owner after working on it Sunday and he was going to basically drive it around till it threw a code and go from there. So now were just waiting to see if a code comes up
