Help - Dying when running. GSR
Hello,
I have a 98 Civic with a GSR swap. It has been running fine for about 3 years now. I changed oil and when it was jacked up I bled the cooling system as i changed the throttle body hose as it was leaking and let all the bubbles out. Took it for drive and filled up tank of gas and it started to sputter and it eventually died. cranking it over and over it started back up again. seemed fine and drove back home. Then tried to take it again later in the day and as soon as it got to temp it failed again. I was able to get it restarted and back home. I was thinking it was lack of fuel as it would just die when going 55 down road. This is the second video below. Sorry for no camera I forgot i was recording. But at least you can hear what it's doing.
Got home and checked codes/compression. First time i scanned codes i got the following:
P0108 - MAP Sensor Circuit High Input
P0135 - Primary O2 Fault
P0141 - Secondary O2 Fault
P0301 - Cylinder 1 Misfire
P0303 - Cylinder 3 Misfire
P1300 - Randon Misfire
P0441 - EVAP
the P0141 and P0441 i have known about as they were not hooked up. The misfire was expected as i was getting a blinking check engine light every once in a while at a stop light.
The P0108 was a new one. So I looked up and tested the sensor. It appears to be ok. It was reading 2.77 v and it would gradually go down as vacuum was applied. I also tested the TPS sensor and it was .42 v closed and 4.45 v open.
Compression test:
Cyl 1: 230
Cyl 2: 235
Cyl 3: 230
Cyl 4: 237
Spark Plug Pictures in order from 1-4
Spark Plug 1
Spark Plug 2
Spark Plug 3
Spark Plug 4
The other odd item as i keep feeling it is fuel related is that when i took the cap off of my fuel rail the little screw fell out. So I put this back in and tightened it all the way down not sure if it is supposed to be.
Fuel Rail End
First Video, Sorry so dark was this evening. Hard Starting after dying:
Second Video: I forgot i was recording was going to try and record it dying but was on side of busy road and put phone down. But at least you can hear it dying:
Sorry for the long post. Trying to be as descriptive as possible. Would surely appreciate any advice as i am without a car currently. Really need to get it running as soon as possible whatever it could be.
Thanks,
Chris

bump. Fixed photos as links so you can see them. Found multiple different threads that showed map sensor so going to replace it tonight and see what happens.

Well no good news. Map sensor and plugs didn't make a difference. Video shows it hard starting and dying.
Any ideas to throw out would be helpful.

Re: Help - Dying when running. GSR
Well changed out distributor with one I had with a bad cylinder position sensor code. Made it to work so it must be that. Other distributor was autozone and picking up a new one this afternoon as they have lifetime warranty.
Does anyone know where to find Cylinder Position Sensor? Or I have another OEM one I bought used but that one misfires. Any places that rebuild with OEM components.
Autozone one only lasted a year.
