H2b project
Well first I’d like to thank Seth @ QSD for his support and JDSinghH2B for helpingme along the way. This is my build – going from B20 to H23vtec blue top (motor is stock, butterfly plate removed, balance shafts removed) withGSR LSD trans. I have been researching, studying this swap, and collectingparts for over a year. I started the swap two Fridays ago and had it runningthe following Monday, everything was done except the exhaust and tune. Got those two done over this past weekend and I am very happy with the results. Oh yeah it’sa 96 RS Integra and I am keeping A/C with stock rad with stock fan, slim fan for a/c and custom lines (not installed yet, waiting on $$ for a A/C charge).
my motor cleaned up!
ready to go in
motor in
with A/C with stock rad
clearance
clearance
hood fully closed
ground clearance
the host it went in!
what I do on the weekends SCCA CONE racing!!

Hardrace mounts are stock mounts just with inserts. Im guessing they sit lower since my hood closes fully. Never used hasport mounts. Man you will love the swap just stay with it.

Also what alternator/alternator bracket are you using? Did you still have to bang the frame rail?
BTW: I have a 97 DB and will be doing an H2B but want to keep A/C and will be converting my steering rack to a manual one.

Re: H2b project
If you look at the pics he cut a decent size notch in the frame rail and boxed it in. Plenty of clearance after that.
I spoke with him before about this and he has some good info. It's the innovative ek ac bracket and d series compressor, h22 alt and bracket with narrow belt.

Is it the Innovative 96-00 EK Civic H22 AC Bracket? Thats the only one i saw on the site. I heard it will not work on a DC/DB Chassis. Is this true?

yes Innovative. not sure then but i kno a guy who has a H2B integra wit A/C ill ask him.
Im using the Innovative relocation with H22 alternator but it mounts where the ac compressor is. but if your going to keep ac then u need QSD alt. relocation kit. you have the bang frame if you use H/F series alternator.

Absolutely worth it. I'm in the process of doing a f20b f2b setup. My setup is f20b with Euro r intake manifold, plm h2b header for now, skunk2 pro1, type r trans with 4.9 final drive
