H2B - How Much Oil Should Appear On Dipstick?
I've got a H2B setup, and I want to ensure that I've got the right amount of oil in the engine. Hopefully we can get some clarification and add this to the H2B FAQ thread.
There is my dipstick. I'm wondering how much oil should appear on the dipstick, since the H22 sits more vertical in a H2B setup.

Is that after you drain all of the oil out of it, through a modified/different pan or some sort of a pump to remove all the oil?
Or is that after you simply drain as much oil as possible out of the factory drain plug on the H22 pan?

I was wondering what to do about draining the oil because the pan sits different. I just drained it as best i could, and then added 5 quarts of oil. Maybe i will look for some kind of pump to drawl oil out for the next change.

Thanks for the insight guys.
Hpi, I'm considering doing the same thing. That, or take the pan off, drill a hole somewhere where the oil will drain better, and have a friend weld on a nut so I can put the oil drain plug there.

Re: (Coomer)
Yea im planning on ordering a magnetic drain plug for the oil and the trans. It's just added insurance, couldnt hurt. I wish it would be easier to relocate the drain bolt, since i don't have any welding skills.

Get the nut from the url listed above, drill a hole with a 9/16" drill bit (or 1/2" and wobble it) and take it to any welding shop. It cost me 20 dollars.

I pulled the pan to put a new drain hole on the front of the pan. I used an O2 Sensor bung and plug, which worked out nicely because its easy to weld. Then I refilled with oil, checked the level and drilled a new hole in the dipstick.
