h22a4 with ATTS into EG civic???
ok, so I searched but could not find anything on this subject. So here is the story. My cousin bought a changeover from a wrecked 97 or so prelude with the ATTS system(which I didn't know about before hand) for me to swap into his EG civic. WHen he brought it over to my house and I was looking at it, the tranny setup looked totally different than other h22's I've seen, so I automatically knew it was the ATTS system.
My question is: Will it bolt up the same way as any base model 5th gen or 4th gen H-series and what kind of axle setup did you guys use to get it work in the EG civic? I had him buy the accord intermidiate shaft/90-93 integra axle setup due to past setups, but this is different. It doesn't use an intermidiate shaft, the ATTS system is located where the shaft would be.

If you can't find the info on here your not searching good enough, its everywhere. The midshaft has to modified to use the ATTS dif mounting points on the block.

I already know that much, but he doen't want to spend more money as it is.
let me rephrase my question. What axles do I use if I use the ATTS tranny? Or can I remove the ATTS unit from the tranny with no problems?

I've never heard of anyone using the atts trans without the dif. Maybe its not worth it to modify everything or maybe the atts trans can't be used without the diff. I suppose you could modify the midshaft and the link between the dif and the trans to connect.

You cannot remove the ATTS and use the tranny. You should be able to use the same axles as the other h22 hybrids use but I'm not too sure. Personally I would try and sell the ATTS tranny on ebay and buy a base or m2a4 tranny.

True. I had a m2a4 tranny on mine and it worked good. It wont fit otherwise.

You can use the trans but the atts trans diff must be removed and the outter case must be changed to fit the standed h22 diff, because the atts diff is wider and the standed diff and can't be shimmed that much in the atts outter case so it just maybe easier to get another trans if you don't have these extra parts laying around like I did to swap out.
P.S you need to also need to get A larger seal for the inter case for the inter. shaft..
