Hey, anyone out there running an H22 in the 88-91 Preludes? What other swaps are you guys doing? Just the Vtec head conversion? Let me know.

Me and me buddy just finished swapping an h22 into his 90 prelude si. We used the place racing mount kit and cable clutch to hydrualic clutch conversion kit. Wiring the car from non-obd to obd-1 was a nightmare. The swap itself isnt hard, just make sure you get an obd-1 conversion harness if your doing the swap yourself.

We bought a conversion harness from Place racing. We both felt a little uncomfortable with the wiring, so we decided the best thing to buy is a obd-0 to obd-1 conversion harness. For an ecu hes using a chipped p28. His car motors now, and it will definatly hit low 14's high 13's with an almost stock motor.

Thanks Chris, I am thinking about it, but it will be a while! You know I love these cars and I probably won't sell this thing for a long time. Seriously though,

Guys how did you get ahold of Place Racing? There website does not want to work and has not for quite some time. Do you have a phone number to reach them at? Thanks.

I think the number is (818) 334-3345. I can't find where I have it written right now, so give this one a shot.
How does that '90/h22 handle? I'm in the middle of an '89/h22 right now and am curious what I can expect.

hey g2, did you guys have any fitting problems with the placeracing mounts? my passenger side looks great, the rear mount is gonna work, but the driver side mount... I'm clueless. First I had to order the motor flange from a 2000 prelude h22 (I have the Euro R h22 and being from an accord, the flange was too narrow for the PR mounts holes), next, the PR mount (the actually polyurethane part) is too wide for the '89 prelude's driverside body mount (if you follow). So I was told by PR that that body side mount from a 90-91 lude would fit my mounting points, and would be wide enough for the PR mount. I know this is confusing, but I don't know what to do. Guess I'll call up PR. Any help would be great!
