Well I need a little help I am working on a car for a buddy he bought it with a f22 in it and it blew up the engine harness was a mess it was stepped down to a obd1 ecu running a p13 that's all gone now

A jdm f23a was put in I took a factory Ek harness and modded it to work I extended a few wires like the injectors and alt plugs and I a. Running it on a stock Sohc Ek ecu it runs great I also used a d16y7 distributor

Now my issue is the iacv the ecu is going to want 3 wire one and the jdm engine came with a 3 wire iacv on the back of the manifold but it is throwing a code for the iacv that is the only code I have.

Is the jdm iacv a different pin out on the sensor? I was also thinking about swaping the throttle body for a EK one with the 3 wire iacv on it to see if that work

Any one run in to this before and how did you solve it ??

I think the F23A IACV and the D16Y# IACV may work on slightly different electrical signals from the ECU even though they seem similar. try the D-series TB with 3-wire IACV on it. it will be a bit small for the 2.3 but under most driving conditions should give good results with no CEL.
