f22a6 into 92 EG hatch
ok......later this year or early next year, i'll have the h22a purchased hopefully, it's a large chunk of the h22a civic swap cost.......right now i've got the d15b8 in there and it's horrible.....cheap on gas, but i'm gonna get killed in traffic.....soooooo
i can get an f22a6 w/ dc header for $300 with 100K miles on it, runs good, came out of a 93 ex that received an h22a.......plan on using a 90-91 accord distributor, running the IAB vacuum line to the manifold and bypassing the switch, ditching the egr valve and using an EG dx o2 plug/wires to fix my cx sensor wiring...have an f22a6 complete harness to get whatever plugs i need as well
gonna use an h23a1 manual tranny and 90-93 accord shift linkage/plates
gonna use the HCP mount kit w/ air conditioning bracket...what rear bracket do i use though? accord one is easier to get for sure, but if a prelude bracket is needed, then that's that
gonna use a del sol vtec radiator/ FAL fan and 92 teg ls UPPER/94-97 del sol lower hoses
using a chipped p28....didn't care for the jdm p13 i had on my h22a accord swap and the p28 seemed so much easier where wiring is concerned and it ran better too
gonna get driveshaft shop axles and hopefully not have issues with any binding, i've got bad luck so ehh......
from experience with the accord h22a swap, the engines are very similar and the h22a swap info should be about the same for the f22a6 install, minus the vtec/ks wiring of course.......
but i've heard of one other guy on here doing it, but would like to hear some info on it from anyone......
i'm sure i'm forgetting something, but from the excellent write ups on the h22a swaps, i've got most of the info already figured out
