Icon3 EF H22_TRACTION BAR INFO

Hi to all members,

I have a H22A7 in my ef hatch and i am using hasport mounts. I am using an ebay traction bar since my swap was done. The problem i am having is that the chassis/motor vibration is causing the bolts of the traction bar to loosen and this is bloody dangerous. I often tighten the bolts in order to drive the car. The thing i do not understand is that vibration felt in the cabin is tolerable for an H22 swap.

Any members had the same issue? Or can propose a solution?

I have thought of two options myself:

1) Use loctite heavy duty thread locker
2) Small weld of the bolts to the chassis
Both solutions are permanent.

Can anyone help/suggest or have experienced same issue?

Thanks for any input

Torque the bolts properly. Other option is use a lock washer and also like you said loctite. Loctite can be released with a torch to the bolt.

I've gotten red loctite off without a torch before. Not sure it's as strong as advertised lol

When I have removed bolts with loctite it takes quite a bit of force and patience. Last year I watched a video explaining how to loosen a bolt with loctite faster, which actually worked quite well.

What did the video say? I just know that I installed my flywheel with bolts smothered in red loctite, And I was able to take them out a year later. Sure I had to use some force, but definitely no torch
