Icon2 B18c1 Revving 500 to 3500 cold start tryed almost everything I think????

Hey guys looking for some help I bought a 94 del sol with a 97 (obd2) b18b1, it was running a obd2 harness pulgged in a obd1 sub harness ( the one in the car) with was plugged into a obd1 PR4 ecu, motor ran strong but during start up it would rev up and down between 500ish - 3500 rpm for like 5 mins until it warmed up then it would be fine, stay at a normal idle. I have tryed cleaning adjusting replacing the IACV and FICV. No luck....

I had gave up and decided to so a swap, I went with a 94 b18c1, with p72 ECU reused my harnesses ( used my obd2 injectors ) changed the plug for the evap, got a sub harness for rywire for the new vtec plugs and KS and IAB, the problem is still there??????? This is with new IACV and FICV new map, all sensors were changed....... I'm banging my head agains a wall trying to figure this out without changing every part?

Everything I read is about a idle jumping a few hundred rpm.... This is not my case it's literally like from normal idle 900ish to 3500-4000 like a kid just sitting there and pumping the throttle???? I'm so lost and frustrated right now and just looking for some help!!!!

No check engin lights, it turns on when I turn the key forward so I know it's not burnt out or any thing but I have never plugged a diagnostic tool into it ( due to no CEL coming on

Jump the service connector and see if you have any pending codes

I'm going to need to get a code reader before I can do this, I need to wait till Wednesday for my shift linkage to arrive to take it to a garage. Would that make since seeing how it was 2 diffrent ECUs, well I guess ya it would seeing how it's had the same wiring harness maybe a short in the harness?

Once again anyone got an Honda OBD1 diagnostics reader? In or around Torrance CA? That could help a guy out with a reading?

There's not a diagnostic port on obd1 Hondas. You need to jump the service connector with a paperclip

Like if I currently don't have a CEL, this may still show a code?

Yes but more then likely there's not a pending code, its just something you can check. Might have something to do with your obd0 tb

IACV try cleaning it if that doesnt work then you'll need a new one. thats whats known as the honda idle and about 99.9% of the time is caused by your iacv

Having the same problem here, only.difference is my car is on a s300. During cold startup will.go up to.2000rpms then down to 500. When hot works fine. It was working fine before, will be trying to change the idle speed control and.see what happens.

Could have something to do with your harness something may not be wired properly. Why not just run an obd1 vtec harness? Would make more sense since your using all obd1 stuff now
