Default B18b1 or b18c1 help?

Ok just like the topic says im trying to decide between b1 and c1 to swap into my 91 civic hatch. Its going to be boosted and my goal is to aim for a 300 hp fun daily driver. Ive heard good things about both motors as far as boosting but I still cant really decide. Can anyone give input on which one would be better to go with having my goals in mind? Thanks.

it'll be more expensive to make the LS faster than the GSR. So go with the better motor in the end or else you'll be kicking yourself later. I have an LS in my car and i'm going GSR. It would cost me $1500 to boost the way i want. If i would have paid $2500 for a GSR i would have liked where i was at, now i have a $500 LS plus $2000 to boost (add $500 for random crap) and it still wont' be what a GSR could be with a proper tune and minor bolt ons.

K and i think i found the reason in price diff between the 96-97 engine and the 98 the 98 has 210 hp instead of 200 and comes with some more things. But i totally agree you get what you pay for theyre both around 4k so its not too much of a difference ($500) but they are hydrolic trannys isnt mine cable so would i have to get the $400 conversion kit.

Lmao u mad bro?

N I'm.sure you can work out something with hmotors

Or you can always sell the hydro n grab ab16 cable.trans

Or buy a cable case n put the gsr gears in it

What would the better option be though is the b16 trans as good as the gsr one? Or is the hydra trans better and i should get the conversion kit hmotors sells with the engine.

you can use an OEM clutch, no need for a Stage 2 if you're just gonna DD it.
