Re: s2000 hardtop
I love my OEM top, best dollar for dollar resale value than ANY other hardtop for the s2000. When these things become very rare, an OEM hardtop'd s2000 will be a prized vehicle

LOL. Make sure you go for the exclusive CF wrapped version for ONLY $5000!!!!
Seriously though, the OEM top is worth it. You may pay quite a bit for it now but you will surely get every penny back if you decide to sell it down the road. I paid 2800 for mine with all hardware minus the defroster harness which was $35 from Majestic. I love my hardtop and would buy it all over again.

Install is very easy. Find a good DIY with pictures and you can do it alone. You may want a buddy to help get the top on the car though because it is a big, heavy object that you do not want to drop.

Ballade, Rock Star Garage, Forbidden USA... all make OEM style tops.
Getting a "good deal" on an authentic OEM top is not going to be cheap though. They hold their value very well. You should search s2ki.com. Lots of hardtops for sale all the time.

Re: s2000 hardtop
right here is your answer. just get oem rep, and repaint. done. Rock star for their rear adjustable 2 pcs latches. over the expensive oem catchers and latches.

Re: s2000 hardtop
I found a local OEM top with hardware in the right colour for $2600 and passed on it. It was this past winter.
So I bought a different local OEM one for $2000 lol.
It bought and then sold a forbidden carbon top (didn't bolt it on...just sold it out of the box). It was very good quality. I paid $2015 shipped. Double sided CF with hardware. Brand new.
Also...hard tops are NOT discontinued from honda. Yall trippin.

$2000 for OEM is unreal. I never see them for that cheap. Good find.
Forbidden makes good hardtops, I have one and I love it. A little squeaky, but looks great. And fitment is great too.

Re: s2000 hardtop
if its squeaky, use Cap Tape (camper tape, the stuff trucks use to put their hard tops on their beds) seals all around the hardtop. the one's they include are garbage. I put 4 layers of cap tape on. No more squeak. stuff is cheap as heck too.

Bernardiparts.com
Look under S2000 CR. NOT under accessories, but under like....body/chassis.
Its like $4-5k when you're done piecing it together. They don't sell it as a $2800 kit anymore. Also...they don't come painted anymore, IIRC.
They're prohibitively expensive from Honda. Not discontinued.
Otherwise what would you do if you were a CR owner that got his/her top stolen/damaged? Sit at home and weep while the sun shines on the rest of the world? Surely you jest.
