camry runs, theres a cel but I didnt have time to check it out lastnight. Ended up swapping a cali 5sfe into a fed car but turns out it works fine if you swap over the fed exhaust mani with sensor and the fed tb.

taking a half day at work today cause I'm going karting with some driving buddies later so I'm going to try and get the title transferred to my name, register her and call my insurance agent b4 the karts.

time to start saving for an f20 or f22 I came across a a couple decent ones through the fb groups but gots no money :/

I'm pretty sure all aluminum LS motors weigh the same. I know for certain that my old LS6 (5.7L) went to 6500 rpms with plenty of power. There's a bunch of aftermarket parts for the motors, so destroking a larger motor shouldn't be too hard to do. You could probably throw some high rpm heads on a 4.8L truck block with a high rpm cam and get 8000rpms without a problem.

F22
Bore: 87mm (3.40")
Stroke: 90.7mm (3.57")
HP: 240
TQ: 162
Redline: 8000

LR4/LY2
4.8L
Bore: 96mm (3.78")
Stroke: 93mm (3.66")
HP: ???
TQ: ???
Redline: 5500-6000

LS6
5.7L
Bore: 99mm (3.90")
Stroke: 92mm (3.62")
HP: 400
TQ: 400
Redline: 6500

LS7
7.0L
Bore: 105mm (4.15")
Stroke: 102mm (4")
HP: 500
TQ: 475
Redline: 7000

now as far as weight, I don't think it would be too too difficult to get the car back to 50:50 weight distribution with the addition of aftermarket parts (rollbar, bucket seats, etc).

Honda F20c/F22c1 Motor Weight (w/accessories): 326lbs
GM LS1/2/3/6 Motor Weight (w/accessories): ~385lbs
Honda transmission: ~105lbs
T56 Transmission: ~130lbs

then you add into consideration an upgraded diff (since we know stock s2000 diffs aren't made to hold 350-400 wtq over extended periods of time)
Honda differential vs 10-13 Camaro Diff: probably 25-30lbs

thats a total of about 100lbs added to the vehicle (80lbs up front and 20 out back). harddog rollbar 40lbs. relocate the battery to the trunk ~10-20lbs. being able to basically double the factory power numbers for an additional 150lbs, that still gives the vehicle great power:weight while sticking with a reliable engine setup

I should just start looking for an S2000 roller and slowly build it up with a V8 (wishful thinking). It would be nice if honda made a mass-produced V8 that could be bolted to the s2k trans w/ an adapter plate

^ yea right dude, that thing is going to be a 2.4 strocker with the possibility of itb's. I just want to invest the proper amount of money/parts/time into it so I'm throwing another stocker in her just to keep me from getting itchy/do events in.

a 2.4L stroker setup with Itb's is gonna be $$$$$, might as well just rebuild it for a small turbo setup and get the same power numbers right?

if you go billet crank/rods/pistons in a truck block with aluminum heads (ti valves/springs/retainers) and cams you should be able to spin to 8k EZ.

CAM, not cams

I would love to hear an LS motor revving out to 9000 rpms, because 'merica

not the chevy motors, i believe that the new ford coyote motors are. It would be awesome if someone decided to do that swap :uhoh. the only thing is that i believe the longblock alone is 425-450lbs, thats more than 50lbs heavier than an ls longblock

edit: i think you're right that the newest LT1 motors are dohc, but the older 90's-00's ls motors are sohc

Not hating but I am also not a fan of colored wheels. I just hate that they scream "look at me" at least not on a dd. But that's just me I want to attract the least attention as possible to myself when driving.

fucked up boring out the hub bore on my AP2V1's. The bearing of the router was riding on a different diameter axes than the surface I was cutting on. Ended up just spot-grinding about quarter inch all around and it's hella not-uniform now. I'm gonna see if there's any readily available 1" OD bearings with a 1/4" inner diameter's avaialble locally. If there is, i'll clean it up. If not i'm mounting them as-is lol

I felt the router drifting too far left (took 4-5 passes at it) and realized what had happened...
