If you gotta ask, the Lotus is not for you. Affordability aside, it's high maintenance in both dollars and attention. It's a car best suited for hardcore, experienced enthusiasts willing to live with the shortcomings for the rare moments of high performance driving, usually on a track or autox. As much as I can admire its plusses, the S is much more satisfying for me as a street car.

Duck to see street lights? I'm 5'11 and I was fine even with the stock seats/rails. I sit straight up too, so it's not because of any gangster leaning.
I also lift heavy **** all day and my back is fine...even with recaros...and KWV3s.
The S2000 is a fine daily driver. I just prefer not to drive mine through the snow.
Why is the S2000 such a bad daily driver? Compared to what? It's a normal enough car. It has power everything and AC. It has comfortable seats. It's not exactly a race car or a meat box.

I never understood this whole too tall for a s2000 thing? I'm 6'2 175lbs and I've got more than enough room for my legs, arms, head clearance, etc. Once in a while if I'm sitting at the front waiting for a light I might have to dip to see the light (if the intersection is poorly designed). But I'd glady take that than go back to my sentra...

Why do people fight about the truth about Daily Driving the S2k? I mean it's really preference...of course it could be a DD for some and not for others. But like stated above, it does have power options n a/c so why say it's not a capable DD. But if your needs require more then you might need a second car. I have an explorer as my DD, and I look forward to getting in my S, and all I have done so far is an intake...the S2000 is just a sick ride whthef you DD it or use as a 2nd car...
But back to the topic, just keep in mind how much parts and maintenance would be for a Lotus over a Honda...
If your a baller n money ain't a thang then get the Lotus. But me personally would take an S2000 because I love it!!!
Also check out the Mcoupe by BMW... Those are the Z4's on steroids...

NSX ftw. that's what i bought
but really if you don't have a DD get an s2k, it will do double duty.
have fun and get a s2000cr, a nice all around car that already comes with the much needed hardtop imho
