S2000 Seat Thieves Caught!

S2000 Seat Thieves Caught!
A pair of losers attempted to steal the seats from my 2008 S2000 and were caught before they could get the first bolt unscrewed. As soon as they broke the window my pager went off, the wife called 911 while I got out the .45 and calmly confronted the pieces of S*&t. As luck would have it a patrol car was 2 blocks away and was on the scene in less than 30 seconds. As it turns out, these two have been doing this for awhile and led police to a house in Fremont that was packed with S2000 as well as other stolen Honda and Acura parts. I am now buying seat-locks and a shotgun, Just thought I would share the news.

I have an Advantage alarm set up to page instead of blasting the siren (which no one listens to anyway). I thank the Police because I was more afraid that they would drop me instead of the thieves. They were very understanding of my situation.

^ yup! Cali especially but Idk! Anyone enters my property to do damage to my belongings and possibly harm my family should think twice before committing the crime because I will take action. Better believe it!!

Contact kodikan4 at s2ki. He requires proof of S2000 ownership or he will not sell you the seat locks. Very smart. I will also do what a gentleman in So Cal
did. I guess the seat locks are only available for for the front bolts for both seats. A guy who frequents s2kca has installed metric carriage bolts on his rear seat mounting rails and had them tack welded to the chassis. Also VERY smart.

I live in Northern California. California will frown upon you shooting someone for attempting to steal personal property. Thankfully it did not come to that. Texas on the other hand will allow you to use deadly force to protect property. Texas has a very common sense approach to this type of crime in my opinion.

^LOL Texas does rock... they along with many other states have a right to castle law which allows you to protect your property/home with DEADLY force (only way to go IMO).. VA has the typical ghey liberal laws like CA. VA did fry a killer in the chair by request a few years back tho woot!
OP way to go protecting your property and with packing a .45 <-- great piece of gear. You have done your community a great service by taking these scum bags off the street. :smiles: I wish I could shake your hand and say thanks
